Homes Listed On Mondays ‘Sell Quicker’
When you’re putting your property on the market there are a lot of things to think about and the day that you list your home with an estate agent probably isn’t one of them.
But new research carried out by Which? Money found that there is a significant difference in how long it takes to sell a home listed on a Monday compared to over the weekend.
The Express reported that homes listed for sale on a Monday took just 176 days to find a buyer, well below the UK average of 191 days.
By contrast, properties that went up with estate agents on Saturdays took 203 days to sell, while those posted on a Sunday took 213 days to complete.
While it may not be your highest priority, you might want to think about when you go to estate agents in Bishops Auckland if you’re hoping to move more quickly.
But if homeowners thought that selling a property was a long process, they should spare a thought for first-time buyers.
Research published recently by Which? Mortgage Advisors revealed that a quarter of first-time buyers had to save for between five and ten years to get a deposit for a house purchase.
In addition, nearly 30% of those surveyed were given help by their parents to find the funds required to get a property.
Principal mortgage advisor at the firm David Blake commented: “Given how hard it can be to get onto the property ladder, ensuring you have the right mortgage could not be more important.”
He recommended that buyers seek independent mortgage advice early on in the purchase process.
